The network security environment continues to be a challenging one for the security professional aiming towards a higher standard with better legislative compliance and an enhanced risk management program. Strategic choices with regard to sourcing security governance, operations and services have never been more complex.

Continuing proliferation of data past laptops to mobile devices and beyond, implies a great deal of required controls where corporate information is concerned. With Privacy legislation becoming more encompassing and public, companies will need to invest in greater data protection as the voluntary encryption of files is no longer an acceptable control on its own. Laptop, external media and database encryption remain logical steps in this all important chain of controls. An overall data mobility security solution is required for large entities wishing to remain compliant and protect valuable information.

Infrastructure Protection will still consume large budget numbers as architectural challenges ranging from deperimeterization and virtualization are met as part of more complex defence in depth architecture. SecureOps continues to believe that solutions exist to address the many issues of our field of expertise with rapid deployments of best-of-breed technologies complemented by appropriate support and monitoring. SecureOps will continue to strive to deliver these solutions to their customers and participate in the various communities aiming at simplifying this process.

SecureOps takes a holistic view to security. A large number of Managed Services providers offer security solutions and services but are only interested in the perimeter and/or network devices. SecureOps does not stop at the perimeter. Of course, this is a simpler business model but security is not a simple service.
